Since its foundation in 1964, Hanil Synthetic Fiber Co. has focused on exports and received the "$100 Million Export Tower" in 1973 for the first time in Korea as a single company. For the second birth as an advanced corporation in the 21st century, it has continued to establish overseas production bases and invest in research and development for higher value-added new products.
With a daily production capacity of 200 tons of acrylic fibers, 200,000 spindles of worsted yarns, 120,000 spindles of cotton yarns and various other apparel products, the company is capable of manufacturing from raw materials to finished products and obtaining reputation from around the world for its quality products, including acrylic fiber, acrylic and other yarns, carpets and blankets.
The company-affiliated Textile Technology Research Center has developed and started production of the conductive fiber, anti-peeling fiber, far infrared regenerative fiber and fire-resistant fiber, and research is now underway for the development of an industrial-use acrylic fiber, and a new carbon fiber.
In order to enhance international competitiveness, Hanil Synthetic Fiber Co. has recently set up a 200,000-spindle joint-venture spinning mill each in Indonesia, India and China, and is operating an apparel mill in Honduras.
With the nation`s lagest prodution capacity, the company is manufacturing high-quality blankets, carpets and beddings with exquisite designs, and the Formode, its high-fashion brand divided into WINDY and Resume is leading the nation`s fashion industry by satisfying changing consumers`propensity. Hanil Synthetic Fiber is diversifying its business structure and has recently advanced into the "spunbond" nonwoven industry.
